The best laid plans

I was wondering.  If you have a really good plan to get laid and it in fact gets you laid, is that a best laid best laid plan?  Just a best best laid plan?  Inquiring minds and all that.

Unfortunately my best laid plans didn't involve any laiding except for the vertical kind with no sex.  In case my incoherence hasn't tipped you off yet, I didn't sleep very well last night.  That in turn foiled my plan to run this morning since I couldn't get that one foot in front of the other thing going on.  It's too bad too, because I now have a newfound love of daylight savings time that I never had as a non-runner.   I had to get up early to go visit my fabulous stylist Brian and realized that it was now light where previously it was dark.  This will be a real treat on Wednesday, my next scheduled run day.

By the way, if you live in the Cilleyland area and are looking for a stylist, Brian is your guy.  I've known seven or eight people with very differing hair types that go to him and he does an amazing job for all of them.  If ever he gives up the job I'm just going to go bald rather than try to find someone even remotely comparable.  E-mail me if you want his number.  Seriously, he is that good.  And I'm not just saying that because he might be reading this.

Back to the topic at hand.  As I mentioned yesterday, I picked up a new pair of running pants that are supposed to be water resistant.  After I posted yesterday I ended up swinging by a couple of thrift stores looking for some new sweaters since I am bored with mine.  I had little success on that front but on impulse I went through the "activewear" section and scored another pair of Nike DriFit (FitDri?  I really need to check some labels and maybe take some ginkgo biloba) pants.  For $6.99.   Whereas the other ones are the parachute-pants type material and style, these ones are more spandex-y.  I'm thinking they will be perfect for bellydancing, as I found out recently that the nifty legging I got for class that look so nice don't look so nice when I'm sweating in them.  Instead, they look like I've peed in them.  I believe these Nike pants will wick, which is much better for everyone.

Day two of my November goals and so far I'm sticking to them.  There was a little incident with a rotisserie chicken and my face last night, but the dogs helped me by eating most of the fatty skin for me.  I compensated eating rotisserie chicken by eating just chicken for dinner.  I wasn't hungry enough for anything else.   My lack of sleep last night means that my plans tonight will probably be limited to (A) going home and (B) passing out, but if I have the consciousness I will be making a casserole for dinner.  Later in the week should promise some real entertainment as I attempt to cut up a butternut squash, my first.  More on my adventures with vegetables later.  If you're lucky, you'll get pictures.  It may even become a whole series.

Break time is over!  Enjoy the beautiful fall weather :)

Cheers,
the CilleyGirl

  1. your dog is super helpful! :)

I clicked through to your post to comment, and then got all distracted by the idea of casseroles, and have been looking up casserole recipes. YUM!

It was so nice riding to work this morning in the LIGHT! I know I'm going to be sad tonight on my way home, but I'm trying not to think about it too much!

  2. I loved having the light on my way to work this morning. I felt so refreshed. It could have been the extra hour of sleep, or just the thought of daylight on my way to work!
