Are you feeling dizzy?

Sorry, that was me playing with Google Earth.  Did you know you can start the globe spinning really, really fast and at weird angles?  It's even cooler when it's spinning and you input an address and then it zooms to that address while it's spinning.

I am so nauseous right now *grin*

I have very little of substance to write about today.  Which means prepare yourself for a long-ass post.

As promised, here is the link to the NW Running League.  I saw a blurb about it on the Oregonlive Run Oregon blog a few months back.  At the time, I thought, meh.  But I did bookmark the site, which bookmark I discovered recently as I lazed about on the couch with my laptop.  Or maybe it was after I paid bills.  Anyhow, laptop=bored=browse.  I decided to sign up, particularly since right now you get league membership included with your registration to their Resolution Run in January 2010.  I thought, why not?  And they're having a free 5K this weekend out in Hillsboro to boot so there you go.   A free 5K with food and music and it's timed.  What more could you want?

Because I am SLOW I am in Group D.  Luckily, I'm not alone.  I bet they are all faster than me though.  I'm hoping to move up to Group C in a few months.  If you're a fast runner and have girlie bits, you should definitely check them out because they are thin on chicks in Group A (currently none).  There's monetary prizes involved and everything.

I can see my house from space!  Woo hoo!

No running for me today.  Huge onset of TOM.  Not the kind of grumps that running will cure.  Maybe tomorrow.  Or not.  Large quantities of sleep seem to be the overriding need for me at the moment.  I think I better call my allergist about getting some bugs to cure this sinus infection.

Cheers,
the CilleyGirl

  2. It's so much fun! I make zoomy noises and airplane arms (or falling noises -- ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh) as it zeroes in on what you're looking for. You can look up anything -- the White House, Disneyland, whatever. The best is to get the globe spinning all off kilter and then search for something. That's how I got so dizzy.
